How to End

A fellow writer once advised,

come evening, always stop

on the downhill.

End the day’s work gliding

through paragraphs,

slicing sentences right, left, right.

Fast and smooth.

And then, stop.

Just stop.

Offer the gift of an easy start

to the writer

you will be tomorrow.
